Inventory #V2A1779-E. This lovely old house was found next to a draw in the Palouse region of Washington. The house's roof was declining, but the walls were sturdy. I tried to find a way to get closer, but, being a bit afraid of snakes, I hesitated to walk through the tall grass that surrounded it. The barn, which was behind me, appeared to still be in use for storage.
About Kathy McClure
A photographer since the age of 8 when I received my first camera as a gift from my grandmother, I learned the art of photography by studying such current great artists as George Lepp, Dewitt Jones and Art Wolfe. My inspiration is God's beautiful creation, and I attempt to record it faithfully, shooting landscapes, flowers, animals, and anything that captures my fancy. I shot film until 2012 when I purchased my first pro digital camera. Now I do both, and do all of the creation in the camera before the snap. If the image isn't good enough to print as taken, it is discarded instead of being "improved" through Photoshop. I have my own darkroom and love making my own prints from negatives.
