Artist's Description
This jaguar has been at the Phoenix Zoo for several years and has always been a favorite of mine to photograph. Usually he's either out of view or climbing around the trees in his enclosure. This day he was acting like any cat - sleeping in the sun! When I approached, he turned and looked right at me. I love the soft look in his eyes (which is not the normal look). On this day, he was far more intent on sleeping in the sun that seeking prey!
