Description
Inventory #100-1615. Some years ago when visiting the Phoenix Art Museum, I saw a Monet painting. I could walk up to it and look at it closely. It was a garden of flowers, and each flower was simply a dab of colored paint. I photographed this little slice of desert garden on the road to Butcher Jones Beach. It was early spring, and the wildflowers were out. Instead of the usual poppies and lupine, this little draw was full of tiny little yellow, white, and purple flowers. None of the tiny flowers was well defined, and it reminded me of that Monet painting, thinking that's how he might see the beautiful Arizona desert.
