Description
Inventory #16I1722. At a wide spot in the road on Missouri Rt. 94, I found this view of the Missouri River. That road follows the river more or less, but at this particular point is right next to it. No longer a totally free river, the Missouri is the longest river in the US, starting at the western slopes of the Rockies, and finally flowing into the Mississippi at St. Louis. It meanders through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, crossing the corner of Kansas before flowing across Missouri. It is the storied route of Lewis and Clark, and thus deserves its place in the history of the US.
