Inventory #V2A3732-2. We were in Chiapas, Mexico, and went to a place where a group of charros kept their horses and cattle and watched them do a few practice drills. In the course of the afternoon, this totally green colt got loose in the arena and they had to then catch him. This fellow was running right toward me when I got this shot. I love how both the horse and the colt were learning into a turn. As they went past me, the charros was saying (in Spanish, of course) "I'll get you!"

A photographer since the age of 8 when I received my first camera as a gift from my grandmother, I learned the art of photography by studying such current great artists as George Lepp, Dewitt Jones and Art Wolfe. My inspiration is God's beautiful creation, and I attempt to record it faithfully, shooting landscapes, flowers, animals, and anything that captures my fancy. I shot film until 2012 when I purchased my first pro digital camera. Now I do both, and do all of the creation in the camera before the snap. If the image isn't good enough to print as taken, it is discarded instead of being "improved" through Photoshop. I have my own darkroom and love making my own prints from negatives.
