Inventory #15-87/96EEC. Havasu Creek is located in north western Arizona. It runs pas the village of Havasupai, then on to the Colorado River. On the way it creates four major waterfalls. These are the pools in Havasu Creek as it leaves Havasu Falls. There are many levels of pools that create little mini-waterfalls as they step down. Some are quite deep and the current can be strong. This was taken in late morning when the sun has not yet moved far enough west to actually light up the canyon walls. But it has caught some of the bushes on the left. The dead tree had been there for a very long time, but I doubt if it is still there.

A photographer since the age of 8 when I received my first camera as a gift from my grandmother, I learned the art of photography by studying such current great artists as George Lepp, Dewitt Jones and Art Wolfe. My inspiration is God's beautiful creation, and I attempt to record it faithfully, shooting landscapes, flowers, animals, and anything that captures my fancy. I shot film until 2012 when I purchased my first pro digital camera. Now I do both, and do all of the creation in the camera before the snap. If the image isn't good enough to print as taken, it is discarded instead of being "improved" through Photoshop. I have my own darkroom and love making my own prints from negatives.
