Description
Inventory #V2A6641. The river had been high. Very high. It caught this dugout canoe and caught it in the foliage high on the river bank. Where these canoes were supposed to be was a mystery, as there was no dwelling or community nearby. They represent some family's ability to go to market, to take children to school, even to leave their small village. They have been carried down by the current at high water and left to be discovered. Or not.
